COLLECTING COUNTRY MUSIC MEMORABILIA

George Jones Country Music Collectibles

Last week, an article I wrote for WorthPoint was published about collecting country music memorabilia. You can read the article here. It is not a coincidence that I wrote this just as Ken Burns' Country Music was released on PBS. I suspect there will be an uptick in collecting country music and perhaps, renewed interest by the major auction houses to host sales from this musical genre.

Over the last two years many of my appraisal assignments have been concentrated in country music memorabilia and it has been a phenomenal journey to dive deeply into this very specialized area of collecting.

As I mention in the article, the market for country music assets is unique from any other type of memorabilia. If you own country music memorabilia or are interested in collecting please take a moment to read the article and send me your thoughts. Or give us a call (Howdy!) and we can talk about your goals for collecting, donating, or insuring.
